Livelihood officer 

The scope of the work in livelihood is to ensure that all persons of concern are able to make a safe and sustainable living that enables them to increase their self-reliance, meet their basic needs, and provides for the full enjoyment of human rights. 

Livelihood officer deals with field related activities for community development. The officer is a bridge between the community and the organization for livelihood activities. Most NGOs require the services of these professionals.

Qualification

People who are qualified in development studies, disaster management, sociology and anthropology are required. Extensive experience of working in the field is desirable. Good communication skills with knowledge of local languages and cultures is a prerequisite.

• Prepare plans for effective execution of the project activities related to livelihood approaches to disaster resilience as stipulated in the project document which includes but not limited to skills, practices and capacities, to manage resources and skills particularly of poor and vulnerable, and institutional strengthening to increase the resilience of the target communities to different hazards and disasters
• Design, develop and provide necessary training for target communities to develop skills and capacities for disaster resilient livelihood strategies and viable options for income.

Governance Sector Specialist

This is a senior level position which deals with policy making and functions of the state institutions. Mostly this position works for services strengthening government institutions through different projects. In some cases, it also deals with the governance of specific sectors such as IT or corporate sectors. Organisations working on building state citizen trust and service delivery usually hire these positions.

Qualification

Qualifications in policy making, political economy, political science and law are desirable. Experience of working with governments, planning and development, rule of law, political economy and Human Rights is preferred. Good communication, analytical and report writing skills are required.

• • Assist and advice the PCNA Coordinator in the design of Annual Work Plan within the structure of Strategic Transitional Results Framework (STRF) of PCNA and its relevant strategic objective(s) in consultation with the stakeholders;
